Wild Fire Update

Many Wild Fires have broken out near the cabin.  This is due to lack of rain and snow this winter.  To review current conditions check here.  http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/forestry/fire/area-reports.html#245

Lake of the Woods

This is my first burbot, freshwater cod.  Taken on light ice fishing tackle, what a hoot!

Bald Eagle on Bear Island

While fishing a couple weeks ago,  Phil and I noticed an eagle circling our boat several times.  It made a couple attempts to catch a fish, I was lucky enough to snap this picture.  It did catch the fish as shown.
