Good Bye's to Mrs Birch

Before everyone leaves, Mrs Birch will pose for a picture

The Girls Stay in the Bunk House

Hannah, Mai, and Olivia share the Tapp's bunk house.  Grandpa put the emergency Porta-pot together just in case an emergency would happen.

This was so much FUN!!!!!!!

Thank You to the Tapps and Thoens

Thanks to the Horvaths for use of their dock!

Mrs Birch lost her closest friend Beulah Birch

Several of our older Birch trees were loosing their limbs from the top down.  We had Ben's Tree Service over to remove five of them.  Shown below are the girls making use of the stumps.  Who is the ham or future actress?

Fish Fry at The Cabin

Grandpa prepared a pan full of fresh caught fish.  He thinks his grandchildren are special, well aren't they?

The Coopers visit Mrs Birch

Mai and Doug enjoying the fresh sunshine and the swing.

Seth, Hannah B, and Mai were the first to arrive this summer.  Seth and Hannah B are relaxing on the floating living room.  Taking in the  views, sun and fresh air under the shade of Mrs Birch.

Mai catches her first Walleye, this makes Grandpa very happy.

Even Cassius loves Bear Island Lake.

Charter on Superior

We did a charter in mid-June, the water temperature was 39 degrees.  After being on the lake for an hour and no fish on the screen, the Captain pulled the lines in and we rescheduled for later in the summer.  Note, you can see Nancy's breath, it was so cold.

Mrs Birch Gets Make Over

We had an extremely harsh winter and Mrs Birch received a make over in the spring.  She seems very happy now.
