Memory Story

Last
summer, my family and I went on vacation to Minnesota like we do every
summer. We stay at my grandparent’s
vacation home on Bear Island Lake. It’s
so great to be out on the lake and feel the cool breeze. What was incorporated in my artwork was the
summer breeze flowing in the background.
When riding on the pontoon boat there is wind coming at your face yet
the heat of the summer gives the breeze a warm home like feeling. You can smell the freshness in the air when you
are riding on the pontoon. When you are
on the pontoon going that fast you feel like flying, like you’re alive. I decided to make this memory because I have
this feeling every year. It’s a very
important memory to me. Just being on
that small lake in Minnesota is so relaxing and real. I thought this memory would be important
enough to create the artwork because it is something I had done recently and I
thought it really would be a good color scheme.
The colors that I envisioned from my memory I could picture in a paint
project like this. The textures and
details I remember from this vacation I thought also would be highly recognized
in the artwork, which they were.
